Everyone's heard of Nicki Minaj and her hit single, 'Super Bass'. Even I couldn't avoid it's dance pop sassiness, and if I'm truly honest I might have enjoyed Minaj and the strange accent she put on periodically. Since its release Taylor Swift has dueted with it, and a couple of remixes have dropped. The most recent however caught my attention more than the rest. Kid Smpl's version. The whole song has changed. From an upbeat, in your face number, 'Super Bass' has transformed into this transcendent, surreal creature that swims through waters of intense bubbly reverb and I love it. Stream Kid Smpl's remix up above.

NEWS// Kid Smpl: End Scene MP3
Newest track from Kid Smpl here, whose previous tracks, 'Glow' and 'The Love' I enjoyed immensely. 'End Scene' is what its title suggests. The end of a war for many and the end of the world for some, the track's melancholy hums and wavering synths stand watch over the eventual calm. The beeps of hospital equipment keeping survivors alive detail a stark and empty soundscape. Wind rolls over bodies and hills and wreckage, and man realises what he has done...

NEWS// Kid Smpl: Glow & The Love MP3s
So impressed by this guy and his work I couldn't decide which song to link. The solution? Link both! The top track, 'Glow' dropped yesterday and just floats along on a bed of synth, reverb and sonic detail. It's a fantastic atmosphere that's created, improving on the second and earlier number, 'The Love'. Water drips from the ceiling of a cavernous space, and the sound echoes off the walls. Check out Kid Smpl, a Seattle based producer over at SoundCloud here!
